The Fastest Way to Lose Weight

One of the most frequently asked questions in the weight loss world is "What is the fastest way to lose weight?" If there was an easy answer then there probably wouldn't be so much money made on a daily basis in weight loss products. Truth be told, the answer is simple. It's putting the answer into practice that proves to be the real challenge.

Losing weight quickly and in a healthy way basically boils down to finding the best combination of diet, exercise, and supplementation for your body. When you are able to find the correct balance of these three factors for the way your body works you will have found the fastest way to lose weight for you. Let's take a quick look at these three factors that make up the ultimate weight loss solution.

Diet-a correctly balanced and nutritionally sound diet program is an essential and foundational building block to every successful weight loss program or system. We all know that eating right will help us attain our goal. This, of course, is easier said than done. There are an overwhelming number of healthy diet philosophies and systems to choose from. It can make it very hard to know which philosophy to follow for the best results. There are also a lot of similarities in these differing thought processes. I think it is most important to look at the similarities rather than the differences to be able to glean the important parts to follow. For instance, most diet programs impress the importance of fresh vegetables in your diet. So we can most likely deduce that regardless of what system we are following, fresh vegetables are an important part of a healthy diet regimen. Another important fact to consider is how your body reacts to the food or fuel that you give it. Some people are more conversely affected by carbohydrates than others. If this is the case for you, then you should choose a diet that is low in carbohydrates, especially simple carbohydrates produced by refined ingredients. So choosing the correct diet structure for you to lose weight in a timely fashion is dependent upon the nuances of how your body processes food and the similarities of proven diet philosophies.

Exercise routine-even though most of the time we have a tendency to focus on our diet as the key to our weight loss, exercise is possibly one of the most important factors in seeing results. One of the things about exercise and exercise programs that we overlook many times is the amount needed to see results. I believe, we have a tendency to believe that we must spend a large amount of time in the gym or exercising to see results. When the truth is not necessarily the time spent or the intensity used on our workout, but the consistency with which we stick to our routine. If you decide to work out three times a week for 30 minutes or an hour you can see results. The key to seeing these results however, is to stay dedicated to this exercise plan for the long term. You won't be able to get rid of man boobs in a few weeks time even if you pump iron daily. If you dedicate yourself to a long-term weight resistance and cardio system then you will see the results. Yes, over the long term you can get rid of man boobs and love handles.

Supplementation-because getting all the necessary vitamins and minerals from any diet plan is extremely tough and many times not possible, taking supplements is another essential piece to the weight-loss puzzle. When I discuss supplementation I am not discussing weight loss diet pills specifically. I am referring to all types of diet supplements to give your body the balance it needs to work correctly and efficiently. That's not to say that there are not good and valuable weight loss supplements available, because there are useful products in this category on the market today. Some of which, are available only by prescription and others which you can buy over-the-counter. When choosing a supplementation program is of the utmost importance to discuss it with your doctor or medical professional. Do not assume that every diet pill or supplement available is safe or is safe for you. Make sure that you do the research necessary before starting any supplementation program. One supplement that you can take without much fear and that I would recommend to everyone as a minimum or baseline is a multivitamin. Make sure that you are taking a multivitamin on a daily basis any time you're on a weight-loss program. I would recommend it even if you weren't on a weight-loss program.

Find Yourself Losing Weight With Cardio

My workout routine consists of six days a week going to the gym, and taking day seven off for rest and relaxation. I alternate each day's workout routine between weight resistance and cardio. The days I hate most are always cardio days. Why? Because those are the days that I work my but off. The cardio days are the hardest by far, and unfortunately also some of the most productive in helping me reach my weight loss goals.

I know that a lot of folks don't like to go to the gym for their exercise. I rather enjoy it, but I think that has more to do with the sauna, hot tub, and pool instead of the actual workout in the facilities. I've tried the workout at home process, but it doesn't work well for me. I tend to rationalize way too much and never end up getting out of bed to exercise before my day is running away from me in a fashion that I might be able to catch - if I would get up and do my workout daily. SO I need the gym to stay on track and keep going down the path to my weight loss goals.

Some folks are the polar opposite of me. They need to have their workout available to them at home. They are more motivated to workout when they feel comfortable and this is why the home gym equipment that is available on the market today is wonderful for them.

Speaking specifically about exercise equipment for a good cardio workout, there are a couple of basic machines to consider, and a plethora of complex and pricey options for you to consider. A lot of folks opt for the treadmill. It is a standard and considered an old reliable standby. The electric treadmill is one of the more common models found on the market today and is usually a good choice. There are a number of places you can look to find cheap treadmills to purchase. Always check the local online listings and local newspapers for people who are looking to get rid of their fitness equipment. There are a good number of people who prefer stair step machines to treadmills. Both are able to give you a good cardio workout if you are willing to put the work into the exercise. Another favorite is the exercise bike, but even though it can get your heart rate up it doesn't give you the total body experience that some other cardio machines, like an elliptical machine or a ski machine can.

Of course, a cardio workout isn't to only piece to your workout routine that you should use to lose weight. You need to have a good balance of weight resistance, cardio, and diet to get the whole package to come together in a synergistic manner.

What Are The Best Weight Loss Pills?

One of the most consistently advertised products on television and every other medium for that matter are weight loss supplements. Many of the advertisements offer that magic pill or solution that is all but guaranteed and in some cases claimed to be guaranteed to make you lose weight without any diet or exercise changes to your current lifestyle. It is that hope, deep inside, that we can continue to live the lifestyle which has brought us to our overweight dilemma but still get different results. Deep inside, we also know better.

There are so many of these diet pills out there that if I attempted to start a list of them I would probably never get completely finished with it. It is tough to find real information in the vast ocean of the internet about which of these pills are a scam, a total scam, really helpful, or a godsend. There are really great and useful weight loss supplements out there on the market today, and the opposite as well. There are some that are dangerous and get pulled from the shelves and then there are some old standbys that tend to stand the test of time.

But how do you know which ones are the best weight loss pills out there? It isn't an easy task for sure. But I think that this is a poor choice in question to be asking. I think a better question would be "Which are the best weight loss pills - for me?" That rings a bit more true, in my opinion. Why you may ask? Well, I think it is really simple in all actuality. Even though we have a very similar makeup as the species we call "human" each and every one of us has unique nuances to the way our bodies work and process everything in life. From information to food to calories, each one of us has differences in the way processing works. Because of this, what works for one person may not work for another person when it comes to similar or identical goals.

You can break the diet pills down into categories that will help you identify which ones could be more effective for your body based on some key factors - appetite, depression, activity, etc. These are only basic educated guesses and even though many of the supplements have lots of scientific research behind them to validate their philosophy they are not at a point where we can pinpoint exactly which weight loss product will work for which person.

So how do you know which supplements are the best weight loss pills for you? I think it comes down to research, medical professional's advice, and trial & error. Read some of the reviews out there. Educate yourself on the pros and coons of the pills and diets. Make sure you look into what is safe and why. But most of all, make sure you realize that diet pills and supplements are only a part of gaining control of your weight issues - diet and exercise are just as important and need to be a major part of the process. If you don't have a balanced attack the excess weight has a way of winning.

Some Weight Loss Program Thoughts

Anywhere you look these days there appears to be a new weight loss program popping up promising you'll "lose weight fast". A magic solution to all your fat loss problems. Many of them offer the hope that it will happen in a very short time frame, even though we all know that it has taken us years to get to the place where we are overweight enough to start to think about doing something about it. Some taught a system based on a diet plan without exercise, a personal trainer, or fitness weight training. Others will go in the opposite direction claiming that the only way to reach the goal you have is through toughing it out in the gym - doing a workout several times a week (or daily in many cases) with attention to cardio fitness or weight lifting or both. Then there are the weight loss supplements we see all the time claiming that you can take a pill and get rid of it all with few or no side effects. I think we are all a bit skeptical of these programs, but we all really want to believe in the magic pill - even if we don't admit it to ourselves.

It can be so tough for any of us to really know where we are in the sea of overly abundant, sometimes in your face, weight loss programs available on the market now. This can even cause paralysis by analysis. The fear to get started because you don't want to do something incorrectly. I've been there before. So overwhelmed you just don't know where to start.

The truth of being health and attaining the best body you can hope to have lies somewhere in between all the facts and hype. Some programs are better than others, obviously. Some programs are better for YOU than others, and this is probably the biggest key to finding the answer you are looking for to help you find yourself among the excess weight.

The systems that tend to give the best results are those with a combination of exercise, health nutrition, and supplementation. All of these should be in some form of moderation to give you a synergistic effect. So that using all three together will give you a far better result than any one alone. I think that this is where a lot of weight loss systems fail. They focus too much on any particular area and neglect the others, or they are marketed to us incorrectly (sometimes suspiciously) as a total solution when they are really just one facet of the whole answer.

Not everyone is out to scam you from your hard earned dollars. There are a number of great resources available to assist you in your journey to lose weight and find yourself. Some really wonderful informational resources are out there on the web. I really like Fit Super Mom's Weight Loss Program for information on fitness weight training, diet nutrition, and weight loss programs. They have a good mixture of info and products (not too in your face) that can assist you in reaching your weight loss goals. Another site I like is the Body-For-Life program which has a great balance to it and even though they are supported mainly by the EAS supplements company they have some great recipes and available information to help you along your way.

So take heart, there are plenty of good folks and programs to get you traveling down the road you wish to travel. Get informed and find what works for you. You will be happy you did, trust me, I know - I've been there before.
