Some Weight Loss Program Thoughts

Anywhere you look these days there appears to be a new weight loss program popping up promising you'll "lose weight fast". A magic solution to all your fat loss problems. Many of them offer the hope that it will happen in a very short time frame, even though we all know that it has taken us years to get to the place where we are overweight enough to start to think about doing something about it. Some taught a system based on a diet plan without exercise, a personal trainer, or fitness weight training. Others will go in the opposite direction claiming that the only way to reach the goal you have is through toughing it out in the gym - doing a workout several times a week (or daily in many cases) with attention to cardio fitness or weight lifting or both. Then there are the weight loss supplements we see all the time claiming that you can take a pill and get rid of it all with few or no side effects. I think we are all a bit skeptical of these programs, but we all really want to believe in the magic pill - even if we don't admit it to ourselves.

It can be so tough for any of us to really know where we are in the sea of overly abundant, sometimes in your face, weight loss programs available on the market now. This can even cause paralysis by analysis. The fear to get started because you don't want to do something incorrectly. I've been there before. So overwhelmed you just don't know where to start.

The truth of being health and attaining the best body you can hope to have lies somewhere in between all the facts and hype. Some programs are better than others, obviously. Some programs are better for YOU than others, and this is probably the biggest key to finding the answer you are looking for to help you find yourself among the excess weight.

The systems that tend to give the best results are those with a combination of exercise, health nutrition, and supplementation. All of these should be in some form of moderation to give you a synergistic effect. So that using all three together will give you a far better result than any one alone. I think that this is where a lot of weight loss systems fail. They focus too much on any particular area and neglect the others, or they are marketed to us incorrectly (sometimes suspiciously) as a total solution when they are really just one facet of the whole answer.

Not everyone is out to scam you from your hard earned dollars. There are a number of great resources available to assist you in your journey to lose weight and find yourself. Some really wonderful informational resources are out there on the web. I really like Fit Super Mom's Weight Loss Program for information on fitness weight training, diet nutrition, and weight loss programs. They have a good mixture of info and products (not too in your face) that can assist you in reaching your weight loss goals. Another site I like is the Body-For-Life program which has a great balance to it and even though they are supported mainly by the EAS supplements company they have some great recipes and available information to help you along your way.

So take heart, there are plenty of good folks and programs to get you traveling down the road you wish to travel. Get informed and find what works for you. You will be happy you did, trust me, I know - I've been there before.
